Life as a Samoan student Learning

Throughout this school year I've meet new people. But since I signed up for samoan class I've meet people just like me. I've meet out going,smart,loud and people that I can compare with. I got closer to my classmates and it's been a fun time learning how to do many things.

Shriners Hospital

For Unit six our project was to do a performance for the children at Shriners hospital. It was fun and It was very difficult to see those kids fight for their lives wit he condition they have. Once I saw them I remembered the times I would say I was lazy and my legs or hands would hurt. I felt so stupid because seeing those kids struggle and still put a smile on their face.I

The first unit was all about learning our first dialogue witch was our greetings. We learned our vocab which was about saying hi and introducing ourselves.We learned our first words in SAMOAN. But it was kind of weird because Mrs. Ah Sue took Miss.Utais place.

Another Samoan Class

So well today is another day for a blog. Well to start it off this is our last unit (Iunite Ono). This unit is about getting ready for college, preping ourselves in many ways like having good learning skills. For our project for this unit is to do a skit or dance for children at the Shriners' hospital. This Unit vocab is Fa'afiafiaga, its mainly about dances as in motins, names of different type of outfits etc...

Samoa 101

When I found out that I was going to be in Samoan class i was so excited and I couldnt wait to start .I wanted to Learn more about my other Culture,I always wanted to learn how to speak in Samoan. When i would hear people speak in Samoan to other people, it made me more eager to learn more about my culture.For the past few months I learned alot, I learned how to correctly pronounce my samoan words, a lot about my samoan history and I also learned about fun and scary legends. Now im developing on pronouncing my words in samoan fluently.

First Timer

Sometime or Everytime their are first timers. As we continue to grow, we have a first time of everything. We have first of every year, either for a birthday ,a new life or eating food. Well im growing and becoming an young adult. "There is alwayz a first time for everything!"
